About the game...

"It's the attitude of the players, not their skills, that is the biggest factor in determining whether you win or lose"
- Harry Sinden

Understanding the Game

Water Polo - the first Olympic team sport

Water polo is a competitive team sport played in the water between two teams. The game consists of four quarters, usually of seven minutes, in which the two teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into their opponent's goal.  This sport involves throwing and catching one-handed, treading water, and head-up swimming.
Water polo is not for the faint hearted!
FINA Water Polo Rules
Currently, our league is comprised of co-ed water polo teams.
However, as the sport grows in our area, we hope to have future opportunities for separate boys and girls games, as well.
